Online MBA from a Foreign University: Recognition, Cost and Checks

An online MBA from a foreign university lets you earn an international degree without relocating. The two things that matter most are whether your home country recognises it and the real total cost in your currency.
Recognition: ask before you pay
- Is the university recognised in its own country? (For the UK, use gov.uk.)
- Do your country's regulators and employers recognise online or distance degrees from abroad? Some countries restrict their use for public-sector jobs or further study, and at least one UK provider says so on its programme page.
- Is the certificate identical to the campus degree?
Fee structures to watch
- Country bands: some providers charge by country of residence.
- Pay per module: spreads cost, but fees may rise each year.
- Extras: exam-centre fees, residential weeks, optional electives abroad, graduation costs.
